Typical of most Hospital's and physician practices, Middlesex Hospital's Emergency Department had three disperse locations and a challenge managing medical records. To meet stringent access standards and patient privacy, Middlesex Hospital wanted access to patient records by any authorized physician within hours of a patient's visit.

Using Intranet technology, Creative Change designed and implemented a custom scanning system that integrated seamlessly to Middlesex Hospital's HIPAA compliant results database. By implementing ScanSafe for them, we enabled them to scan and centralize records storage for immediate access from any authorized browser in the Hospital or Physician network. Through a secure web browser interface, physicians can now access full Emergency Department records from any patient seen within the Middlesex Health Network. Patient care is improved, while costs and errors are significantly reduced.
